No. OneSixteen Studio is a private, one-on-one space. Appointments are scheduled so that you won’t encounter other clients before, during, or after your visit.

Yes. The studio is intentionally calm and low-stimulus. There is no loud music, no chatter, and no busy background activity. Many clients tell me they feel at ease within minutes of arriving.

Yes. Silence is genuinely welcome here — it's not just something we say. You're never expected to maintain conversation. If you'd prefer to rest quietly, close your eyes, or simply not talk, that's completely fine.

No. This is a home-based, single-client studio. When you’re here, the space is yours.

Yes — it was specifically designed with this in mind. The studio is quiet, private, and low-stimulus. There's no background noise, no other clients present, and no expectation to perform comfort you don't feel. Many of our clients describe themselves as highly sensitive, neurodivergent, or simply someone who finds most salons overstimulating. You're very welcome here.

Absolutely. Communication about touch, pressure, and pacing is always welcome — before, during, and after any treatment. Nothing continues without your comfort, and you never need to explain or justify your preferences.

You're very welcome here. Many clients are returning to beauty services after a long break, and appointments are always approached with care, patience, and understanding.

That's more common than you might think. You're welcome to arrive exactly as you are — there's no expectation to feel relaxed beforehand. The space and pacing are designed to help you settle once you're here.

That's completely okay. Everything is explained gently as we go, and nothing happens without your consent. You're never expected to know what to ask or how things should feel.

Just yourself. Everything you need for your appointment is already here. For lash or brow services, please arrive with a clean face and no eye makeup. If you wear contact lenses, bring your case — you may be more comfortable without them during treatment.

A few minutes early is ideal — it gives you time to settle in before we begin. There's no need to rush, and there's no waiting room or other clients to navigate. If you're running a few minutes late, a quick message is appreciated.

Every appointment begins with a conversation about your preferences, sensitivities, past experiences, and what you're hoping to feel or achieve. This isn't a rushed intake — it's a genuine conversation designed to make sure the treatment is right for you. Nothing is rushed, and there are no wrong answers.

If you're not sure, reach out before booking — helping you figure that out is part of what I do. You can also browse the services page which includes duration, maintenance intervals, and what each treatment involves. The in-depth consultation at the start of every appointment is also designed to make sure the service is the right fit before anything begins.

Some treatments are suitable during pregnancy and some are not — it depends on the service and the trimester. Please mention your pregnancy when booking and we'll discuss what's appropriate for you. Your safety and comfort always come first, and no treatment will proceed if there's any uncertainty.

Please let us know at the time of booking and during your consultation. Some conditions or sensitivities may affect which products or techniques are appropriate. A patch test may be recommended before certain treatments. If a service isn't suitable for you, that will always be communicated honestly and in advance.

It varies by treatment. Lash lift and brow lamination results last approximately 6–8 weeks. Brow wax and tint lasts 3–4 weeks. The sculpting and wellness treatments (Sculpt & Drain and Sensory Reset) have cumulative benefits — regular sessions tend to produce more lasting results than a single visit. Each service page has a maintenance guide specific to that treatment.

None of the services offered at OneSixteen Studio require downtime — you can return to your day immediately after your appointment. There are aftercare guidelines for each treatment (keeping lashes dry, avoiding heat on brows, etc.) which will be explained at your appointment and are available on each service page.

Policies & Studio Etiquette
APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING
All appointments are booked online through Fresha. It takes about two minutes and you'll receive a confirmation immediately. No phone call required. You can book directly from the contact page or any individual service page.
CONFIRMATION
A confirmation notification will be sent prior to your appointment. Please confirm your attendance to avoid cancellation.
CANCELATION AND RESCHEDULING
Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 48 hours before your appointment to avoid a cancellation fee. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to charges equivalent to 50% of the booked service price.
LATE ARRIVALS
Please arrive on time to receive the full benefit of your treatment. Arriving late may result in a shortened session or rescheduling, without a refund.
DEPOSIT POLICY
Certain treatments require a deposit to secure your booking. Deposits are non-refundable but may be applied toward future services if cancellations comply with our policy.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Clients must inform our staff of any medical conditions, allergies, or medications prior to treatment. OneSixteen Studio reserves the right to refuse service if a treatment is deemed unsafe.
SEXUAL MISCONDUCT
We have a zero-tolerance policy for sexual harassment. Any sexually suggestive comments, advances, or unwanted touching will be taken seriously and lead to immediate termination of the session.
PRIVACY AND CONFIDENTIALITY
All client information is kept confidential and managed in accordance with privacy regulations.
